Ministers

Here at the Bridge Church, we have a growing team of Ministers, all passionate about building a place where everyone’s welcome, nobody’s perfect and anything’s possible.

Kendal Beard – Kendal was just eight years old when she joined the church along with her mother and father. At 18 she left home to attend Mattersey Hall, but we couldn’t keep her away and in 2005 she returned and joined us on staff.  Kendal has many strings to her bow, so you will definitely see her involved in many different areas with the church. Outside of the church you may see Kendal at a dance class or two. Kendal is married to Lee Beard and they have a baby daughter called Cole.

Lee Beard – Lee joined the Bridge in 2009, when he moved up north and married Kendal. He has a variety of experience under his belt, and a few tales of adventures on the mission field. He is passionate about preaching and the communication of God’s word. Currently he is working on the development of our children’s ministry programme, and various programmes within the life of our church. Outside of the church you will see Lee either running or cycling the roads of Bolton, and occasionally swimming in the Salford quays. So if you fancy joining him, just let him know.

Natalie Foster – Natalie has been at the Bridge Church since she was six years and has grown and developed into a fantastic youth minister. Along with her husband Aaron Foster, they lead our exciting youth ministry called Catalyst. Outside of church you can find Natalie shopping and thinking of the latest creative exploit that she can get involved in, and spending time with family and friends. Aaron is sport mad, he is passionate about football. He has a mean left foot and is the current top goal scorer for Bridge Bolton FC.

David Harvey – David is passionate about teaching the church sound biblical doctrine that you can build your Christian walk on. Over the years David has developed this, and now teaches at the AOG Bible College – Mattersey. He is married to Laura who is a teacher in Bury, and recently became the father to baby Lux. Outside of church you can most definitely find David in the comfy couch section of Starbucks or curled up on the sofa with Laura and Lux. David is a keen supporter of Manchester United and loves the fact that they have won more trophies than Manchester City.

Sue Bancks – Sue Bancks is commissioned with the Pastoral care of the church. Her love for people and genuine care for their well being always shines through. She works closely with Richard and the team to ensure the Bridge church is a healthy and loving environment for all that call it home.

Sue Stokes – Sue Stokes is newest member of the ministerial team but has been a solid member of the Bridge church for many years. She is passionate about seeing people come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour but also to live in the fullness of life He intended. With this passion Sue is in the perfect place as she heads up our Outreach department. Sue is married to Andy and has a house full of girls – who love all things Disney.

Ian Watson – Ian Watson along with his wife Sue Watson led the Bridge church as Senior Leaders for 25 years before handing the baton over to Richard Cooke.  Ian and Sue are actively involved in Assemblies of God throughout Great Britain but still call the Bridge Church home. Ian provides wisdom, support, a sounding board for Richard and continues to minister under Richard’s request and guidance.
